Uncle Damian

Hailey Turns 2!!!

My sweet Hailey had her second birthday party yesterday. She is SO big and the absolute sweetest 2 year old ever! Jeff and I took the babies to the party. Hailey LOVES the babies and was all smiles when we got there. We had to feed the babies so I didnt get to see her play her games. Actually I missed just about everything. =( But at least I got a hug and piece of cake! LOL Racheal, as usual, did an amazing job and through her a wonderful party. She got a kitten from mommy and daddy. She was so excited and couldnt stop saying "meow". So sweet. It was great to see friends and family we had not seen in a while. Especially Aunt Shirley and cousin Sue ans sweet Savannah who is getting SO BIG. She is such a doll. We always have so much fun together. There is something about Aunt Shirley that kids/babies just love. Maybe they can sense what a kind heart she has. Well she scooped up Nicholas first and he was so comfy he went right to sleep. Next she scooped up Lainey who talked to her for a little while then she was out too. She didnt get a chance to scoop up Gabe because we had to go. So, Aunt Shirley you've still got it, the babies loved you!!! I cant wait to see you guys again soon. Maybe Sue could take my medical transcription test for me and save me the trouble!! LOL What ya say Sue??

I also got to see my friend Emily and Sue. I met them through Racheal, they are great friends to her. I got to hold Emily's new baby girl, Sienna Grace. What A Doll!! I think I could have snuggled her for hours! She has the sweetest little chubby legs and beautiful eyes!!! I think Emily may be my biggest blog fan. LOL If she ever gets me a picture of that darling daughter of hers I will post it. I cant wait to see you guys again!

Here are a couple of pictures that Jeff was able to get of Hailey.

(Oh - Aunt Shirley, you asked me how to post a comment. Click on the word comment at the end of the post, then you can choose anonymous, type in your comment, then I think you may have to type in a security code, choose publish comment and you should be good to go. I think anyway.)

Boo Boo's =(

The babies had their immunizations today. It was awful, emotional, lots of tears. . .but the babies did great! I quite literally cried more than the babies. We did all the preliminary stuff then it was time. Mom starts crying. They each had to drink some stuff and then get 3 shots in the thighs. Gabe went first, then Nick, then Lainey. The boys did so good. They cried as they were getting the shots (the nurse was great, she did all three shots in about 6 seconds) but as soon as daddy or I held them they stopped crying. Nicholas cried a little harder during the shots but they both settled down in less than a minute. Mom still crying. Then Lainey went, she cried pretty hard during the shots and it took 3 or 4 minutes to settle her but daddy cuddled her and she did calm down. Mom still crying. By the time we got them all bundled up and back in their car seats they were all fine. Mom still crying. Since they have been home they have been great. No fevers yet. They are just sleeping A LOT. Lets hope that last through the night. Mom finally stopped crying. All the babies got weighed too. They are. . .

Lainey - 11lbs 3.5oz.
Nick - 11lbs 6.5oz.
Gabe - 12lbs.

My beeeeeeeegg babies!! They are doing so good!!! They all got a clean bill of health. They are watching the boys to make sure they dont have hernia's though. They are having some fluid "down under" which could be a sign of a hernia, although no signs of anything yet. If they do have hernia's they will need surgery. Please keep the babies, especially the boys in your prayers. I dont want them to have to have any surgery's. Other than that, everything is good. Below is a picture of the poor little pumpkins with their band-aids. =( They got LOTS of snuggles.

Lainey Bug Has Thrush =(

My poor Lainey has thrush. Michele H. noticed it when she was watching her Friday night (thank you Michele). I brought her to the doctor on Sunday morning and she does have it. It is a yeast infection in her mouth. They gave her some medicine for it. She has been fussy since starting the meds. I guess the thrush can make your mouth sore. My little sweetie just wants to be held. Poor little Lainey bug. Hopefully it will be better soon.

Great Birthday Weekend

What a nice weekend!! On Friday evening Jeff and I got to go to dinner. Michele H., Katie, Brittany, and Bella all came to babysit. They did a wonderful job! Brittany and Bella were like pro's with the babies, so sweet. Well, after dinner we were supposed to go shopping or to a movie but we were so tired we just came home. Michele and the gang were not ready to leave yet so they sent us to bed for a nap and did the next feed with the babies. We went to bed at 9:00pm and did not have to wake again until 2:00am!! It was wondeful! Thank you so much for a great night, we really appreiciate it and had a wonderful dinner followed up by a refreshing nap! =)

Then we went to the Winslows for dinner. Chrissy and I have birthdays a couple of days apart so we got to celebrate together. Dinner was great and it was awesome to see everyone, especially Jess. I have not seen her in a while and she looks just beautiful all preggo! I cant wait for her little angel to get here.

I forgot last week to say a much need thank you to Gail, Mike, Terry and Pat!! Gail, Terry and Pat also watched the babies for us so Jeff and I could have a night out. Mike was nice enough to let us borrow his sweet wife Gail for the evening! All of their babies are grown so they were like kids in a candy store! It was too cute! They also brought us a big dish of ziti! It was delicisous! Thank you

More Ranting

I must just be having a bad day. I am frustrated. Why is it when you have a baby, ok three, that you no longer have friends? Ok that may be extreme but I swear since we have had the babies we no longer hear from friends that we were close with, we no longer get asked to help plan parties or activities, we dont get visitors as much as we used, we have not had much family visit, etc. Did we fall off the face of the earth? There are friends that have not even called since the babies were born, let alone seen them. I am expecting too much? Do we talk about the babies too much and thats why no one wants to call us? Granted we still have a few friends that keep in touch and I am sure people are thinking they dont want to bother us but I have babies, not a contagious disease. It is hard to get out with the babies, but that doesnt mean I cant talk on the phone. Thankfully I am allowed to help make the favors for Racheals wedding, which makes happy to contribute a little. I cant help but have my feelings hurt. Like I said, I think I am just having a bad day. =(

Venting. . .

There are no cute pictures in this post or sentimental statements. No fun stories of cute baby antics or mommy blunders. This post is strictly my rantings. I have to say it. Some people are just ignorant. I know that sounds a little harsh but they are. Let me explain. . .I was at the grocery store today picking up few things that we needed. As some of you know I receive WIC to help with cost of having triplets. Well, while I was checking out and using my WIC checks the lady in line behind me was apparently annoyed that I was taking an extra five minutes to check out because of the checks because she sighed and rolled her eyes at me several times. Now I realize that if you are in a hurry this could be an inconvenience, BUT could she have asked politely to go in front of me or perhaps gone to a different register? There were several open and no one in line behind her. Well, I then found out that I got the wrong cheese, the one I picked was not WIC approved. The supervisor at the grocery store was nice enough to switch it out for me but of course I am stressing because of the snob behind me that keeps rolling her eyes at me. So, I ask the poor girl behind the register if she could please check the lady out and I would wait. I mean its not like I have anything to do, I have 3 infants at home that are going to want to eat in about 10 minutes. Grrrr The lady then looks at me in pure disgust and mumbles a "Thank You". I was so upset. It made me wonder how many times I had sighed because the person in front me had to use WIC checks or food stamps. Now I know there are people out there that abuse these programs and are probably more capable then they come off, but there are people like Jeff and I that actually need these programs. We have never been on assistance before and are doing everything we can to provide for our babies without help, but for now it is a need. I couldnt help but think that the lady in the grocery store was looking at me like "why did you have all those kids if you cant afford them" and it made me so upset. In a recent conversation in which I was casually talking about having babies, I said "I cant afford the ones I have" (in a joking, but true way) and was told "you should have thought about that before you had them". Infuriating. I am really getting tired of the comments from people. The "I'd kill myself", "why would you do that", "thats scary", and all the other rude negative comments I get on a daily basis are talking there toll on me. I am just plain tired of it. These babies are nothing other than 3 blessings and thats how we feel about them. I know if I see a mom with multiple children, nary a negative comment I will ever make. My babies have already taught me so much. My lesson for today, dont judge the person in front of you in the line at the grocery store that needs assistance. You never know if that may be you some day. You dont know their circumstance.

Belly Cast

I came across these the other day while going through some pictures on Jeff's camera. This was a couple of days before my c-section. Jeff and the nurse did the belly cast. It took us a couple of hours to complete but it is one of my favorite memories from the hospital. It was really cool to have this done and so much fun that Jeff helped the nurse do it. I still have the cast, it is in the nursery. =)

Thank You Double A Provisions

This post is LONG overdue. As many of you know Jeff works for Double A and has been there a few years now. During those years we have really gotten to know a lot of the people there. They have always been wonderful to us and I always enjoy stopping in to say hi. Its not like stopping in to my husbands work, but rather stopping in to see friends. Since Jeff and I found out we were expecting we have gotten a lot of help from a lot of people and are very appreciative of all it. However, I wanted send a special thank you to everyone at Double A. They have become our "work family" and truly been wonderful to Jeff and I. When we told them we were expecting and then told them triplets I think some of them were more excited than Jeff and I! LOL They immediately set a fund for everyone to contribute to and after the babies were born they gave us a gift to start college funds for the babies. This is just one of the many blessings they have given or done for us including a luncheon, gas card to get back and forth to doctors appointments and letting Jeff work from home a couple days a week to give me a much needed hand. Its great that Jeff works for such wonderful people. We cant say thank you enough.

Racheal's First Bridal Shower

Racheal had her first bridal shower a couple of weeks ago. It was hosted by Kathen's Aunt in her home. She did a great job! The food was wonderful and she had everyone make a scrapbook page for Racheal which I thought was such a cool idea. It was only the second time that I had been out without the babies for any length of time and I couldnt think of a better way to spend the afternoon. I had a blast and Racheal did too. She got some really nice things! Here are some fun pictures from that day. Ro - LOVE the hat!! LOL

Lainey Is All Smiles

Great Ending To A REALLY Bad Day

Last week I had one of the roughest days I have ever had with the babies. They were really fussy and all wanted to be held. Our friends from out of town (Kristen and Jay) were supposed to come visit which was great because we have not seen them in a while and they were bringing their son Jack who we were we excited to see and Michele was coming too. Well, I was so exhausted and the babies were so miserable that I almost canceled. I decided not to and when the gang got here they actually took over for us! It was great, everyone took a baby to feed and the babies were so good. I even got to hang out with Jack for a little while. He really is the best kid. I cant believe how big he is. Here are some pictures from that night. Kristen, Jay, Jack and Michele, it was awesome having you guys here. Anxiously awaiting another visit. =)
(This is a pretty funny picture of Jack taken at just the right moment!! LOL)
