Happy Anniversary My Sweet Husband

Today is our 6 year anniversary and the first time we will spend the night apart. What an amazing gift we were able to give each other this year, 3 beautiful babies. I didn't think it was possible to love you anymore, I was wrong. You are such an amazing daddy and I feel so lucky to have you as a partner and the father of my babies. Even though we are apart tonight I am thinking of you and miss you immensely. I love you baby and Happy Anniversary.

More baby pix!!!!--update on Mary

Sorry about the delay in posting. As you all can probably guess, we have been busy!!!(go figure!)
So far, i think out of over 80 feedings, Mary might have missed 5 or so.
Mary wants everyone to know how much we appreciate the flowers and calls! It really brightens our day as we come back to our room and get a bunch of messages and some flowers! Thank you to everyone for all the kindness and support. We would also like to especially thank Mom for her help in making sure these children are cared for. She contributes daily in numerous ways to ensure we are all set. And to her husband David for giving up their time together in order for her to be here with us.
Mary's doctor has come in and told us he has decided to hold her another day to try and get her BP lower. It is routine with her type of pregnancy to go through a period of high blood pressure after the ceserian operation. But it is high enough that they want her to stay so they can work on it.

Baby Update

Hello everyone!!!! Well, where do I begin. . .the babies are absolutely perfect!! I can not describe what overwhelming joy and love we have for these babies. They are doing great. They have become quite famous in the Nicu and all the nurses just love them to pieces. We even have Nicu staff calling on their days off to find out how the "Dunbar Triplets" are doing. They are just so sweet and so loved. All of the babies are now together in the "lesser" part of the nicu. They are on the last phase before coming home. I am waiting for the doctor to come in and do my vitals, Gramma has gone up to do some feedings. She is very excited to be able to feed them, especially when she gets them all to herself. She just loves them to pieces. Here is a little update on each one. . .

Lainey - Baby A: Lainey Bug, as mommy has nicknamed her, was the oldest born at 12:03. She came out screaming! What a beautiful sound!! She weighed 3lbs 13oz. So tiny and sweet. She is the most alert and loves to look around and take everything in. She does not want to miss a trick. She is also the cuddliest. She lets mommy snuggle right up to her and she snuggles right back. She will not hesitate to let you know when she is upset about something though. =) She is probably the "strongest" at this point. She has been on room air since birth and takes all her feedings from a bottle. They have lowered her crib temp twice and she is maintaining her temp really well. She is well on her way to coming home. Thanks for all the prayers for her and keep them coming.

Nicholas - Baby B: Nicholas is the middle child born at 12:04. He too came out screaming to which Jeff and I said could not have been happier about. He was the smallest weighing in at 3lbs 11oz. He is very laid back and I call him my thinker. He always looks as though he is contemplating something. He is easily pacified and very content most of the time. He does let mommy snuggle him but will grunt will he needs a break from mommy's hugs and kisses. He has been eating the most, he is a great eater! He has been on room air since birth and taken all his feedings from bottles. The temp in his crib has been lowered as well and he too is holding is baby temp. He too is well on his way to coming home. Thanks for all the prayers for him and keep them coming.

Gabriel - Baby C: Gabriel was the youngest born at 12:05. He too came out screaming making mommy and daddy very proud. He was the biggest weighing 4lbs 2oz. Gabe is all boy and very much a daddy's boy already. He was the strongest at birth going right to the lessor part of the Nicu. He too is very easy going. He always looks as though he is thinking "whats going on, lets all just nap". He will snuggle with mommy but he really likes to just hang out and be held. When I snuggle him too much, he just looks at me like "ok mommy, enough already!!" LOL Gabe too has been on room air since birth and took his first 6 feedings by bottle. He does get very tired when eating and had to have a small feeding tube inserted into his belly. If he gets too tired and cant finish his bottle, we give it to him through his tube. He tends to eat really really good for his daddy. As soon as Jeff goes to feed him, he downs his bottles. His crib temp has been lowered a couple of times and he does pretty well maintaining the body temp. He needs a little extra help with his feeding but other than that, he is well on his way to coming home too. Thanks for all the prayers for him and keep them coming, especially for his feedings.

Daddy - Jeff is the most amazing daddy in the world! I get so jealous because he is the one that was able to do the feedings first, change first diapers, change clothes, he even takes temp on them and measures their bellys!! He does it all and is so wonderful at it! The babies just love him. They hear his voice and their eyes always dart to where ever he is standing. He rarely misses the opportunity to go up to the Nicu to feed and hold them. And if he can not be in the Nicu with them, he is calling for updates. He had to work today and its killing him! =) He cant wait to get back to his babies. They miss him too. We are all very lucky to have Jeff as their daddy.

Mommy - Last but not least, mommy is feeling good! I had a little trouble with recovery after the c-section due to high blood pressure so I was not able to go see the babies until 9pm that night. I was able to hold all of them the first night and feeding Gabe. Then next day I was up walking for most of my trips up to the Nicu. I am really not in a lot of pain, meds certainly help!! I am extremely swollen but that is very normal. My bandage came off today and everything looks great. Still waiting for the belly to go down. It will be a slow process. The C-section itself was not bad at all. I was pretty nervous, but is went so smoothly. Blood pressure has its ups and downs, but nothing too alarming. I spend every waking moment with the babies. I love to hold them and just be with them. I am recovering really well and looking forward to bringing the babies home.

We have more pictures, but I need Jeffs help to download them. So maybe tonight, pending any exhaustion, we will post more pictures. Thank you again for the well wishes, comments, and prayers. Much love!

The babies are finally here!!!!

We are finally here with Mommy and Daddy! We are hangin in the NICU, but we are breathing room air and eating very well on our own, which is cool cause they don't have to stick us with those IV thingys. Mommy is resting and trying to recover enough to come see us. Those hospital people better not mess with her too much, cause we know she really wants to come and snuggle us. Thank you mommy for making us healthy and happy babies! We can't wait to meet you!!!

See you soon!!!!!! Love Gabriel, Lainey and Nicholas

Thank You

Jeff and I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that has checked in on us and given us so many well wishes. We love all the emails and blog comments of encouragement. We feel very grateful to have such wonderful friends and family. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. I also wanted to say thank you to the ladies who have become like friends on BBC Triplet site that have been with me through this whole process and offered so much support and encouragement. They are a life saver. Again, thank you so much!

Visitors
We have had many people ask about visiting us and the babies while in the hospital. Jeff and I would love to have everyone visit and show off our beautiful babies. However, because the babies are going to be preemie and may need some Nicu time we are told to have the number of visitors limited to close friends and family. I said well, that narrows it down to about a 100!!! LOL We just ask at this time to hold off or call first before visiting until we know the status of all the babies. For those that are able to come and visit, the Nicu staff and doctors have asked that if you have been around anyone that has been ill recently to please not come right away. Also, if you are a smoker, the Nicu staff and doctors do not permit anyone that has smoke on their clothes, hair or breath (using perfume and chewing gum etc does NOT cover it up) in the Nicu or around the babies. Nurses have suggested showering, drive down see the babies and then smoke after. This will be the case in the hospital and at home until the babies are big enough to handle it. Their immune systems and lungs will not be fully developed and any illness or smoke can cause severe problems. Thank you so much for being understanding and helping us keep the babies as healthy as possible. We love you all and will post lots and lots of pictures!!!

One More Day

One more day. We FINALLY will have the babies tomorrow at 11:30am. We are so very excited and anxious to finally meet our 3 little bundles. I am a little scared about the c-section, but know that everything will be fine. I just cant wait to bring them home and love on them. I am ready to get to the next stage of our lives and get to what will be our new normal. So, until tomorrow . . .

No Babies Yet. . .

Quick update, we are still in the hospital and have not had the babies yet. My blood pressure has continued to be good so it looks like we are on track for Wednesday. The babies do really well when getting the tests done, heart beats look good and they are somehow still moving around in there. We meet with the anesthesiologist tomorrow and then babies on Wednesday!!! So for now we wait. . .

Finally An Update. . .

We finally got to see the doctor last night around 10pm. It looks like all my test have come back ok. Blood pressure is ok, protein in urine is ok. So after a discussion with the doctor we have decided to stay admitted to the hospital and wait for the planned c-section which is Wednesday at 11:30am, I will be 35 weeks. The doctor felt that being in the hospital an on bedrest was helping with the blood pressure. So we are here for a few more days and will have babies by Wednesday!! I did have a pretty bad spike in my blood pressure this morning that made me feel really yucky. But after a short nap on my left side I feel great! So thats where we stand for now. . .

Baby Update

We went to our doctors appointment today and my blood pressure was high. The babies are doing well, however they did not grow as much as they should have this last time. With those two things combined the doctor has decided to admit me to the hospital. She said I will not leave the hospital without babies!!! She originally said tonight, tomorrow or Saturday however my blood pressure went back down. So for now we are just being monitored. I will have more details tomorrow. Jeff and I are so excited and can not believe the time has finally come for us to have the babies. Please keep us and the babies in your prayers. The babies are all 4lb or more, but we do anticipate some nicu time. I am hoping it will not be long. More updates tomorrow. . .

34 Weeks - 8 Days And Counting. . .

We made it to 34 weeks!!! I am so excited! Everything still seems to be going good. We have a doctors appointment tomorrow to see how big the babies are. I am praying for 4.5 to 4.75lbs. That would put the babies hoepfully over 5lbs each at birth! As far as how I am feeling, really sore. I am still feeling ok, but I am getting very sore and it is difficult to get around. There are places on my body that hurt that I didnt even know I had!!! LOL I am swollen most of the time and I wont get into the bouts of heartburn. Other than that, things arent so bad! LOL It really could be worse so I am still counting my blessings. I cant belive 8 more days until I meet our little bundles!!!!

Happy Fathers Day!

Mom, Jeff and I had a great Father's Day. I was able to really surprise Jeff this year because I am on bed rest he didn't expect much. Well let me just say I love the Internet! hehe. With mom's help I was able to surprise him with 4 bandannas. One adult one that says "Daddy Says We're" and three little baby ones that say "Born" "To" "Ride". They are so cute! I wait to get a picture of them in their bandannas on daddy's lap chillin on the Harley. So cute!! He also wanted a picture frame for his desk, the kind that you can download pictures on to so he can always see the babies. He loved the frame. Mom and I made him his favorite breakfast, eggs Benedict. Then in true Jeff fashion, he insisted on doing some work around the house. He had been wanting to repair the sidewalk off the front porch. With the babies coming he wanted to make sure it was repaired. So he spent the day laying a cement sidewalk. Although he has never laid cement before, he of course did a great job! It came out so good!! In between the housework I was able to go for a ride with him. I wasnt able to get out of the van but none-the-less it was nice to spend some time with him and get out of the house. Then for dinner Jeff grilled fillet and mom made a salad. It was SO good!! We really had a nice day. 10 days and counting before our little bundles are here. . .

33 Weeks - Baby Update!

We had our appointment at the Peri yesterday and I am still dilated about 1.5cm and cervix has shortend a little more but I am able to come home!! Still not a lot of contractions which is good. The doctor decided to schedule my c-section for June 26th, two weeks. I will be 35weeks and 1 day. They babies should be over 5lbs so we are praying for no Nicu time. Until then I am a bump on the couch. We have another appointment next week, should be our last appointment. Hoping to make it the 2 more weeks. Keep us in your prayers!!

Quick Update

I am still couch bound. Thankfully I have not had a lot of contractions (I dont think anyway, everyone says I'll know!!). I am just taking it easy. We have an appointment tomorrow at 1:30. Hopefully nothing has changed and they will send me back home. I will be 33 weeks (1 day shy). Our goal is 34. If no babies by 35 they will schedule the c-section. So, praying that tomorrow they will say the babies are 4lbs and that nothing has changed and I can come back home. Will give you another update tomorrow. . .

32 Weeks - Baby Update

We went to the Peri yesterday and the babies are doing great! They are 3.9, 3.12, and 3.13lbs. They did their breathing movements which is great and their heartbeats look good. They are really cramped and it is getting harder and harder to tell who is who. My cervix unfortunately shortened a lot. It went from 2.5 to 1.4 in a week and I am 1.5cm dilated. So, after much consideration the doctor has allowed me to come home, but I am on complete bed rest. I have another appointment on Tuesday (barring any changes). If cervix has shortened again or I have dilated anymore I will be admitted into the hospital. We are really trying for 34 weeks so we need to hold on a couple of weeks. Keep us and the babies in your prayers!! I will try to keep everyone posted!

8 Month Belly Picture - Viewer Descretion Is Advised!!!

LOL Just kidding. Here it is the 8 month belly picture. This will probably be our last monthly picture. We will take one more before we have the babies though. Enjoy!
