Locked Stocked And Ready To Roll

My sweet husband spent last night assembling strollers and car seats. He got everything assembled and the car seats installed despite the nasty little cold he now has too. I love the strollers and car seats!! The triplet stroller is really something. It is huge and does weigh a lot, but what do you expect. . .its meant to hold 3 babies! It is actually VERY easy to set up and fold down. We found a way for it to fit in the back of the momma van. Unfortunately we have to take the wheels off for it to fit, however the wheels come off REALLY easy and pop right back on. So all in all we are happy. It is so crazy to see that triplet stroller all assembled and 3 car seats loaded in my van. I cant believe those car seats will be filled with babies very soon!

WOW, Sleepy Head

It seems as though the only place I can get a comfy nights sleep is on the couch. Well, last night I actually slept through the night! I woke up with Jeff around 6:15am then went BACK to sleep at 7:30am until 11:00am!!! Seriously! I did not know that one person could sleep that much. Well, maybe one person can't but 4 can!!! LOL

31 Weeks - Baby Update

Today makes 31 weeks and we are still chuggin along! Every week is such a blessing and I just cant believe how far we have gotten. We had our doctors appointment this afternoon and everything still looks good. My cervical length actually got longer instead of shortening!! Yeah, that was good news. Baby's heartbeats were all good, boy they are cramped in there!! I now know whose feet have been lodged in my ribs, thank you Gabriel! LOL I have started to swell, my feet look like fat little sausages! My hands have started to join in on the fun and swell too. Thankfully, my blood pressure is fine and no protein in my urine so all the this swelling is being chalked up to the joys of pregnancy. All in all we are doing good.

The Baby Furniture Is Here!!!!

YIPPEE YAHOOO HOORAY!!! The nursery furniture is finally here and set up. Its not done by any means, but I cant believe how beautiful the nursery looks!! Jeff stayed up until 1:30am assembling and setting up the cribs. We had so much fun playing in the nursery. It is such a reality check (in a good way) to see 3 little cribs, 3 dressers and a changing table all set up in the room. If I cant find Jeff it is because he is just sitting in the rockers in the nursery. I will then go join him and we just smile at each other. I cant believe in a couple of short weeks we will have 3 babies. Its so much fun to just sit in there and envision Jeff and I side by side rocking 3 little bundles. We really are so excited and cant wait. I have no doubt that the babies will be so comfy and cozy in their room. We cant wait to hold them!!

Where's The Hospital??

I was speaking to my sweet sister-in-law the other day when I confessed that Jeff and I are not really sure where Albany Med is. Probably not the best time to not know where you are going, ya know 31 weeks pregnant with triplets!! So, needless to say I got in big trouble from said sweet sister-in-law!! LOL We have since printed out directions and taped them to the front door with the phone number to the hospital. We have not actually done a trial run to the hospital but we are planning one next week. So, Jo this is for you. . .ok well really for us but you know what I mean. LOL

Dad and Mari Visit

It was so great to see Dad and Mari. We didnt get a lot of time together as Dad's visit was a short one and I have the physical capability of Jabba The Hut! But none-the-less we did get to visit a couple of times. Miss you guys lots!!!!

Double A Lunch

The blessings continue!! I got a call last week from Karen (who works with Jeff) who asked me to be at Double A on Thursday for 11:30 for a surprise lunch. I said ABSOLUTELY!! Jeff had NO idea that this was being planned. The Double A gang managed to not only keep it a secret but to sneak in an ton of food right under his nose. He really was clueless! It was great because Jeff is one on the hardest people in the universe to surprise. I have only seen him blush a few times, and this was one of them. His face was bright red! We had a great lunch and some yummy desserts! Double A also gave us a very generous gas gift card to help with all our doctor's appointments in Latham. He works with greatest people. We were so happy and thankful for such a great day. Thank you Double A!!!

Bags Are Packed

My bags are packed and I am ready to go! I figured it like this. . .ya know how if there is a chance of rain and you bring your umbrella it never rains but if you didn't have your umbrella it would inevitably rain. Well, I have my bag all ready, therefore I will not need it for a while! That's my theory anyway.

Last Afternoon With My 2 Pals

I spent the afternoon with my two pals Ben and Jerry. We shared and pint and got "chip-faced"!! After this mornings weigh in, I dont think I will see them again for a while! LOL

Baby Furniture Update!!

Ok, so now I feel bad about spouting off about the baby furniture as they called and it will be at the store tomorrow or Friday!!! Jeff will be picking it up on Saturday!! YAY! So I am back to loving this store again!! Pregnancy hormones, gotta love em! LOL

30 Weeks

We made it to 30 weeks today!! Yeah!! We had an appointment this morning and babies look good. They are cramped and getting really big but all the heartbeats were good. As for me, still doing ok. Cervical length shortened a bit again. But doctor did not seem worried. He was very please with all the scans and the way the babies look. I did gain 8 lbs. in 2 weeks though!! Jeez, I had only gained 16 the whole pregnancy 2 weeks ago!! I guess my late night meetings with my 2 friends Ben and Jerry will have to be limited!! LOL So, it still stands, anywhere between 2 and 5 weeks. Holy Moly! It really will be here in no time. I cant believe we have made it this far along. I really feel blessed and I am so excited to meet my little munchkins!! Ok, anybody got any guess on when we will have the babies??

Its The Little Things. . .

As most of you know, I cant stand it when my house is a mess and unfortunately it is usually under construction therefore a mess. Well lately it has been exceptionally messy as I am unable to do much these days. I think I forgot to mention that the doctor told me for every hour 3/4 is to be spent resting and 15 minutes can be spent doing something. Ugh! Double Ugh! Anyway, Jeff is picking up all the slack and doing a wonderful job. He brought home the most wonderful gift on Sunday. It was way better then any chocolate, flowers or jewelry. What was it you ask. . . a new SHOWER CURTAIN!! I was so excited!! I couldnt wait to throw that old one out, it was gross! I am tellin ya, I have the best husband in the world!!

Baby Update!

We had our appointment in Latham with the Peri yesterday and I am happy to report that everythings still looks good! I was hoping for at least 2.5lb babies (that is what a singleton should weigh at this no. of weeks) and I got my wish and then some! Lainey is 2lbs 9oz., and both the boys are 2lbs 12oz! I was so excited. Cervix has shortened a bit again, however I am told by the doctor that will be inevitable at this stage in the game and the length is still in the "normal" range. Babies were very active at this appointment. This appointment was so much fun because it was finally all about Lainey bug! She was SO cute! She would yawn and stretch and suck on her fingers. We could actually see her face and got a 3D picture of her. She looks like her dad! They all look like daddy! Even the U/S tech said how cute she was being. It was nice to finally see my baby girl! The boys, however wanted nothing to do with pictures this time. They let their sister shine at this appointment. What sweet brothers!

I

If you look close, on the right side of Lainey's face is her brother Nicholas's spine. He is sitting on her!! LOL It is REALLY getting cramped in there. My poor babies, hang in there just a few more weeks!

Bare Bones Tent Sale. . .Priceless

2 Micro Suede Rocker Recliners. . . . . .$199.00

Large Kitchen Table w/Leaf and 6 Chairs. . . .$499.00

Being able to rock my babies and seat my entire family at the kitchen table. . . Priceless!!

Baby Closet

My sweet husband is still plugging away on the nursery. He finished the closets and then help me (rather I help him by pointing and saying "that goes there") sort the enormous mound of baby stuff. We are just so happy we got so much stuff for the babies. I think they are set for few months anyway! LOL

Oh, the final bib count. . .80! You can see them all stacked up on the 2nd shelf!

29 Weeks

Today makes 29 weeks! Every week is a blessing and we are so happy to have made it this far. The babies seem content and don't at this point seem like they are ready to go anywhere just yet. I am still feeling ok, however movement in general is becoming an issue. LOL Oh, and I awoke this morning to my first stretch mark!

Bottles, Bottles and More Bottles

The preparation for the babies continues. Now that I have the clothes organized and mostly washed I thought I would move on to bottles. I soaked them, washed them, boiled the nipples, and labeled them! I washed 15 bottles and all the little parts, unfortunately that is not even enough bottles for 1 days worth of feedings!! LOL So, Friday after our doctors appointment (assuming all is still well) we are headed to Babies R Us for more bottles and the last of the things we need for the babies. All that will be missing is the furniture, which should be here late next week! Whew. Things are starting to come together. Slow, very slow, but sure. Now I just need to get that triplet stroller put together. . . that outta be interesting! =)

The Fireplace

We had this really old wood fireplace in what was going to be the "family room". Well, this fireplace wasnt really functioning well and wasnt worth trying to get it up and running. So, before we found out we were pregnant we had decided to put in a gas fireplace, you know one of those ventless ones. We purchased everything we needed to put the fireplace in and then found out we were pregnant. We thought, ok cool we will take the "family room" and give the baby (singular) our room. Ha, then we found out we were pregnant with triplets! Ok, no problem. The very large "family room" will now be the nursery. So this nursery is going to be so beautiful! Jeff finished putting in the fireplace and tested it, so far so good! LOL It looks beautiful and he did a great job on it. He is so talented when it comes to this stuff. I am always amazed at the things he is able to accomplish. Below is a picture of the fireplace in the nursery. I can just see Jeff and I in there this winter rocking the babies in front of the fire. I cant wait. Of course we will need furniture, which unfortunately is still back ordered!! Ugh. But hopefully will be here in a couple of weeks.

Happy Mothers Day!!

My "first Mothers Day!! Ok, well actually I have had lots of Mothers Day with Alyssa however, as it should be, she spends that day with her mom. And the babies are not technically here yet, but none-the-less My First Mothers Day!!! It was great. It started the night before when Jeff made a very nice dinner complete with our favorite, apple juice in the wine glasses! It was so good and so great to spend some time with him. I dont see him much these days. Then I woke up Mothers Day morning to a package on the table. It was a beautiful 3 heart necklace and a very sweet card from Jeff, Lainey, Gabe and Nick. The necklace has rose colored gold for the top heart, white gold for the second, and gold for the third! It was perfect!! I have the greatest husband in the world and would be so lost without him. Thank you for being so wonderful, I love you!!

After the gifts we went to breakfast with Rob, Chrissy, Momma Winslow, and Gigi at the Lamplighter Bed and Breakfast. The Winslows do this every year but this was the first year that Jeff and I have gone. It was so good! There is a breakfast buffet (all you can eat, whoa!! LOL) and the B&B is just beautiful!! We missed Steve, Jess, Terri and Madysen who couldnt make.

After breakfast we went to Carters to try to find a take home outfit for the babies, but no such luck. So, we headed home and watched a movie. I was in need of rest! LOL We spent the rest of the day just being together. It was such a great day!

28 Weeks!!!

We made it to 28 Weeks!! This is so great! The babies are now at a point where, they would need some help but, they would be ok if born now. Thankfully I have not shown any signs that they are ready to come. I get a handful of contractions a day, which the doctor says in normal. I really have to take it easy now. Phooey. We have another appointment next Friday, then our appointments are week to week. The doctors says that 32 weeks is the average at which triplets are usually born. We are trying for 34 or 35 weeks and 4 to 5 lbs babies. I am hoping by next week they will be about 2.5 lbs. I can tell they are getting bigger because it is really getting tight in there. I have feet, elbows, hands, etc in my ribs, bladder, stomach etc!! Still all in all, I feel pretty good. Definitely getting harder though. Ok, now for the 7 month belly picture. . .

Baby Clothes Galore. . .

I still can't believe how generous our friends and family have been to Jeff and I and the babies. Jess, Chrissy, Momma Winslow, and Gigi planned a 2nd baby shower for us and it was SO MUCH FUN!! I am just waiting on some pictures (I forgot my camera, hint hint ladies LOL) and I will tell you all about it. They really went above and beyond to make the shower special for me and it really was!! Between the 2 showers and the non-stop giving of our friends, family, and even past employers (thank you my Pediatric pals and Double A gals!!) we have just about everything we need for the babies. So, I spent yesterday sorting ALL the baby clothes. What a task. Jess and Chrissy stopped by to give me some company which was great. Then daddy helped me finish when got home. These are going to be some well dressed babies!! Everything is SO CUTE!!

The Dreaded 1 Hour Gestation Diabetes Test

I had my 1 hour gestational diabetes test yesterday and was very worried that I was going to fail. It seemed like everyone I have talked to fails the 1 hour then passes then 3 hour. I have checked my sugar throughout my whole pregnancy and it has been fine. Well, I am happy to report that I PASSED!!!! Yippee!!
