The Many Faces Of Nick. . .

My Sweet Nicholas

We have a wonderful nurse that comes to our home once a month to check on the kiddo's and she also administers the Synagis shot for RSV for the babies. During each visit she checks their weights, lengths, listens to their hearts etc. Well, during the visit for the 2nd round of these shots (they get them for 6 months) she was listening to Nick and heard a murmur. Ok, well thats no big deal, lots of people have murmurs. This is my reasoning to keep myself calm. So we take him to see his ped. who hears the murmur as well. He sends him to do an EKG. Ok, just precautionary. . .its no big deal. . .right? So in goes my "little" (all 16.5 lbs of chubba lovin) man to the hospital to get those round sticky thingy's put all over him. He did pretty well, poor punkin. A couple of days later we get a call from the doctor. Nicks EKG is back and it looks as though he has a "small hole in his heart". This is where I panicked. I'm no doctor but I'm purty sure that your ticker is a major part of you that you dont want any holes in! So now we have to go see the ped. cardiologist. I took Nick today and he did really well at the appointment. The cardiologists explained everything to me in great detail. I will spare you the technical stuff but what it all boils down to is he does have a very tiny hole in his heart, not causing him any stress what so ever, so at this point we just monitor. What great news, no intervention need as of yet. We are still hoping the hole will close on its own. Please keep Nick in your prayers that the hole will close and his heart will be ok. Here is a picture of mommy and Nick on the way to the appointment today. He has a rash on his face, dermatitis I'm told. Poor punkin can't get a break! Even so, isnt he just the cutest! I LOVE his little hat, thanks Deb!!!

YA THINK?? Geez, these babies are chewing on everything and oh my the drool!! We bought these nifty mesh bags that I fill will chopped up frozen apples or ice chips and the babies can gnaw away at them. They seem to really like them. The only down fall is they are not quite coordinated enough to hold the bags themselves and momma ain't got 3 hands! LOL

My New Beaba Babycook

I got a Beaba Babycook http://www.williams-sonoma.com/shop/electrics/specialty-electrics/index.cfm?cm%5Ftype=gnav for Christmas (thanks mom and Dave!!) and I LOVE it!! It steams, purees and reheats. I made 4 small containers of baby food and it only took me about 15 minutes! I have only made applesauce and banana's so far. I am going to try sweet potatoes and squash next. Here are the boys sampling mom's gourmet baby food. They loved it!

A New Playroom

We made one of the bedrooms in our house into a playroom for the babies! I am so excited about this as it frees up my living room. The babies have a lot of toys, especially after Christmas. It is so nice to have a place (with a door I can close!!) that they can have fun in. All the toys fit really well and even the new choo choo wagon fits! I LOVE this wagon. I have yet to take the trio for a ride in it but as soon as I get my house back in order we will. =)

Gabe Got Daddy. . .

We give the babies baths every other night and do wipe down baths on the other nights. Well, this was a bath night and daddy was playing the Gabe as he was walking him to the tub. . .aparently Gabey had to potty! LOL

Daddy surprised mommy and the babies with their first Christmas stocking. He took them to Dongo here in Glens Falls (who by the way are the most wonderful people ever) and had them embroidered. I absolutely love them!!

I have managed to forget all of my family's birthdays. Everyones. I remember the day before or the day after but can not seem to ever remember on the day of their birthday. I have missed, Danny, Dad, Mari, Mom, Jo, Anna and probably most importantly my Niece Bekah's 13'th Birthday! Her 13th birthday, how does an aunt forget her 13th birthday!! Ugh. So sorry sweetie.
