I cant believe I am actually about to write this post but the time has come. . . almost. My sweet little preemie babies will be ONE YEAR OLD in 3.5 short months. Can that really be true? I dont know what amazes me more, the fact that it has been a year already and how big the babies are getting, or the fact that Jeff and I survived it! What a rollercoaster ride it has been. I must say the past few months have really been a lot of fun. The babies are doing so many fun things right now and make us laugh all day. They are very close to sleeping through the night. (By that I mean 11-12hours uninterrupted sleep - oh I cant wait).
Anyway, the reason for this post is I am looking for some creative themes for their first birthday party. A couple of things, they are only going to be 1 so nothing too extreme or elaborate. We are going to try to keep the first birthday somewhat low key (haha - I know). So if anyone has a theme they think would be cute please leave me a comment and let me know. Maybe I can come up with a small prize for the winner. . . incentives people! Here is a picture from today, my goodness they are getting big. . .

This is what we did. I liked the fact that there was a mommy bunny with 3 baby bunnies....I also have a thing for peter cottontail, personally..lol
We served carrot cake. Too cute!!
You could always do '3 peas in a pod" or 3 monkeys (see, hear, and speak no evil..lol)
For their 2nd Birthday we are doing Blues CLues and they are all dressing like steve!

Hi Mary, I think you should do a Summer/ Beach Theme! The babies will love the colors , they get new summer toys!, Buy a small inflatable pool, And have there decorarions be something they can use this summer, Put them in swimsuit with summer hats, all matching!!!! You can kill 2 birds with one stone, and save alot of money!!!! What do you think? Love mom
I was all set to do an animal/jungle theme, and then at the last minute decided on Curious George! Kinda random- but the animal theme can be b/g.. I'd also second the beach theme- we did a hawaiian theme for our shower and it was great- flowers, tiki torches, leis,bright colors, etc.
